Schoepfle Gardens in early June
Roger and I hiked at Schoepfle Gardens in early June and were delighted by the wonderful trees, flowers and shrubs in bloom. The Rhododendrons were blooming profusely as well as the Irises. It is such a lovely, peaceful park, especially around the pond. We hiked a lower trail by the Vermilion River and an upper trail through the woods, ending with a snack by the pond. Schoepfle Gardens is part of the Lorain County Metro Parks and is a short drive from the Westshore area. It is well worth the drive, whether your first visit or returning again and again.
