General Meeting

Meet at 11 a. in room reserved at Strongsville Library, 18700 Westwood Drive, Strongsville 44136. Bring own lunch; beverages and desserts provided. Following meeting and lunch, drive or carpool (4 min.) to Gardenview Horticultural Park, 16700 Pearl Road, Strongsville 44136. Club will pay Park entry fee. Tour gardens and arboretum. No paved garden paths.

Gardenview was started in 1949, by an ordinary individual without money. There are numerous gardens, of various shapes and sizes; fitting together like pieces in a jigsaw puzzle into one large picture 6 acres in size. There is also a 10 acre arboretum, containing 2500 unusual trees (including 500 varieties of flowering crabapples). In 1961, Gardenview was given to the public - with the stipulation that it must forever remain a Horticultural Park for the enjoyment of all.
